Position: Actuator Assembly
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Summary: (Why does this position exist in the organization?)
This position in the Actuator Assembly Department must be able to assemble and test units to print specifications. This position requires the ability to evaluate, tear down, rebuild and test repair units.
Essential Job Functions (fundamental job duties):
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to assemble and test Actuator units to print specifications, verify and record results
- Ability to evaluate, tear down, rebuild and test repair units
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Marginal Job Functions (non-fundamental job duties):
- Ability to operate other machinery within the plant if required by the Supervisor
- General inspection skills
- General hydraulics knowledge
Education (What is the minimum education level necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)
- High School or equivalent
- Applicable math background and skills
- Blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Verbal and written communications skills
Experience (What are the minimum years experience necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?)
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Test stand set up experience is advantageous
- Skills in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
- Skills in the use of assembly tools and test equipment
Mandatory Qualification Requirements (What are the mandatory qualification requirements for the position?)
- Skills in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
- The knowledge and background to inspect parts
- The ability to interpret blueprints and assemble actuator units
Non-mandatory Qualification Requirements (Not absolutely required, but will enhance applicant/employee chances for success.)
- Versatility of operating equipment within the manufacturing facility
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
